Our History

A Service Without Limitations

Over the course of the past 4 decades, the name ‘Ron Hull’ has become increasingly familiar to South Yorkshire residents.  Whether it is our distinctive Yellow & Black lorries on various collections or our Demolition Machinery dismantling a Power Station, the Ron Hull logo is never far away.

First formed in 1976 by the Groups founder and owner Ronald Hull as a 6-acre site with a handful of employees, today there is not simply one business bearing the Ron Hull name, but a Group of Companies operating from 4 parallel licensed recycling sites in Rotherham, South Yorkshire.  With over 200 staff covering 30 acres of factory premises, offices and Waste Transfer Station, the Ron Hull Group of Companies are an ever-expanding business in the Yorkshire region.

Together, Ron Hull Jnr Ltd and Ron Hull Demolition Ltd offer the following services to all companies – small, medium or large – throughout the whole of the UK, extending into international countries:

OUR TIMELINE

In 1976 – Ron Hull JNR Ltd was incorporated by Ron. The Company was initially created as a Scrap Metal Recycler on Mangham Road, Rotherham as well as providing Skip Hire for the local area.

In 1991 Ron Hull bought a derelict site on Mangham Road in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and in just over 2 years a prestigious development of 14 business units were built along with a suite of offices for the Ron Hull Group. These business units are rented to other local businesses, further cementing the "Ron Hull" name, which dominates Mangham Road.

In 1992 – Ron Hull Demolition Ltd was incorporated, to provide an additional waste steam from projects into the wider Group of Companies

In 1994 the Fitzwilliam Arms Hotel, also based on Mangham Road in Rotherham, was restored and further extended in 2008 by Ron, adding an additional 40 bedrooms and a new Function Room.

In 2008 Ron developed his 250-acre farm, housing 40 horses whilst manufacturing and using his own equine bedding made from recycled wood – Lay-Soft at the Mangham 80 facility.

The Ron Hull Group of Companies currently consists of: Ron Hull Jnr Ltd, Ron Hull Demolition Ltd, Ron Hull & Sons Farm and Ron Hull Estates Ltd. All these companies are represented through the following divisions:
