Ron Hull Title Bar fade

Paying attention to workplace mental health has never been more important

Mental health and wellbeing is a huge concern for the demolition sector, and the impact of COVID-19 is having an even further effect on an already existing mental health crisis. Checking in on employees, looking out for signs of depression and offering support is vital. Here at the Ron Hull Group we offer mental health awareness training to take positive steps towards ensuring our workforce feel supported, particularly in the current climate.

NFDC, the long established and only trade body for the UK demolition industry, has championed the demolition workforce for eight decades. In recent years, addressing the lack of awareness for Mental Health and Wellbeing and promoting positive mental health in the demolition industry has risen to the top of the Federation’s strategic agenda.

We want to ensure that all members of the Ron Hull Group have the tools available to support one another on a daily basis. All of our Directors and Senior Management team are trained and informed as well as information and support provided to our onsite demolition teams. We issue monthly HSEQ Bulletins that are sent out to all of our onsite teams and detail the relevant information in terms of where to look and how to either give or get help whether this be via our appointed MHFA company mental health ambassador helping to encourage team members to seek help when needed with any issues or concerns or by providing company documentation providing further useful information.

The Ron Hull Group support our team by taking a proactive approach and invest in our employee’s mental health and wellbeing by following the MHFA approved ALGEE method.
