The specialist Ron Hull Demolition Team from Rotherham were awarded the contract to part demolish the old Fire Station, directly opposite Doncaster Racecourse, making way for the development of a new fish and chip restaurant.

As no asbestos was present demolitions could begin immediately upon arrival. The building was internally soft stripped back to shell prior to the commencement of structural demolition works which was carried out by excavator utilising various demolition attachments to suit. 

Following demolition the concrete slabs were removed and the underground fuel tank exposed. A Waste Management contractor was appointed from the company's select list of subcontractors to remove the contents of the tank, de-gas and generally make safe for disposal. The subcontractor was closely monitored on site and RAMS vetted before start for suitability.

All demolition waste arisings were processed on site through the company's fully licensed mobile crushing unit. The resulting 6f2 product was stockpiled on site and reused by the Client.
